Registration will open for Summer in the City 2025 on January 16, 2025 (for Kingsley families) and January 31, 2025 (for the general public). Registration will close on May 1, 2025. Please read on for a general program overview.

Held on our historic Back Bay campus, Summer in the City welcomes students entering Grades P3–6.

Guided by Kingsley’s experienced teachers, summer students explore weekly themes through collaborative, hands-on art and STEM projects. In the peaceful glow of Kingsley’s historic stained glass windows, friends are encouraged to follow their own passions and make meaningful connections across grade levels.

Each day, the Elementary group safely adventures through Boston by foot, MBTA, or even Duck Boat—taking advantage of everything the city has to offer. Outdoor play is also a time to explore, with daily visits to local parks, playgrounds, and splashpads. Early Childhood friends will enjoy exploring new friendships, natural materials, and joyful movement, all while maintaining essential rest routines. Singing, cooking, flower arranging, painting, climbing, puzzling, and much more is in store for our littlest learners.

Kingsley has robust food allergy and student safety policies, and a School Nurse on campus all summer. Our Summer in the City program is suited for students from all backgrounds and school types. We can’t wait to see you there! If you have any questions, our team can be reached at auxiliary@kingsley.org.

Designed as an introduction to Montessori, this program is a great option for families looking to enroll their little ones in an engaging, Montessori-influenced environment for the summer.

Guided by Kingsley’s enthusiastic and experienced teachers, summer students will explore new friendships, natural materials, and joyful movement. Cooking, flower arranging, painting, puzzling, singing, climbing, dramatic play—Kingsley’s peaceful classrooms have it all! A predictable routine (detailed below) with exciting, thematic lessons ensures that each unique student is nurtured and engaged. Kingsley has robust food allergy and student safety policies, and a School Nurse on campus all summer. We can’t wait to begin a wonderful Summer in the City 2024!
