The Annual Fund: A Kingsley Tradition
Our 2023-24 Annual Fund & Financial Aid Goal is $1.2 Million.
Philanthropy is a core Kingsley value and the Annual Fund is the foundation of Kingsley’s fundraising program. As with most independent schools, Kingsley does not receive government grants or aid. Tuition covers 83% of each student’s experience. Tax-deductible Annual Fund contributions help meet the budget gap, fueling every aspect of every child’s Kingsley experience.
We aim for 100% participation among families and faculty and robust Annual Fund involvement is a Kingsley hallmark. Every gift supports our common goal to nurture resilient explorers, confident learners, and empathetic citizens. This year, we are merging our Annual Fund and Financial Aid with a combined goal of $1.2M.

ANNUAL FUND FAQ
How are Annual Fund gifts used?
The Annual Fund provides high-quality classroom materials and distinctive learning spaces; academic initiatives like the Fundations literacy program; co-curricular offerings, including the Winter and Spring Concerts; technology improvements; campus safety and security; beloved school traditions like MMUN, Farm and Ocean Schools, and AMC; and much more. Finally, the Annual Fund plays a meaningful role in supporting our most important asset: our faculty. Your gifts ensure that our students are taught by the highest quality teachers and that these teachers have the tools, training, and resources necessary to provide our students with a transformative Kingsley education.
How is the Annual Fund structured?
The Annual Fund launches with our annual Kickoff party in late September, followed by a personalized email to each household and peer outreach by members of the Development Committee. Many friends choose to participate before the end of the calendar year, with outstanding pledge commitments fulfilled before the school’s fiscal year on June 30.
Why should I give?
Participation in the Annual Fund is a key value in our community. Like most independent schools, Kingsley’s programmatic costs exceed tuition revenue. Unlike many peer institutions, Kingsley has no endowment from which to draw. Our generous community helps bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a Kingsley education. This enables Kingsley to be more accessible to a wider range of economic backgrounds. Your gift also sends a distinct message of your support of and belief in Kingsley’s mission.
Who contributes?
Each year, generous parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, alumni and alumni families, and other friends of the school demonstrate their belief in our mission and their enthusiasm for Kingsley by contributing to the Annual Fund. We are grateful for the vibrant community who enthusiastically supports our students.
How much should I contribute and when?
Gifts of all sizes collectively have a tremendous impact on our students and teachers. We encourage current parents to make Kingsley one of the top philanthropic priorities. The earlier you make your gift, the sooner it can be put to use. You can pledge anytime during the calendar year and all pledges and final contributions to the Annual Fund are due by June 30. All gifts are important and we hope that all members of our community think carefully about their gift to Kingsley.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. Gifts to Kingsley’s Annual Fund are fully tax-deductible. You will receive a tax receipt and acknowledgment for every gift you make to the Annual Fund.
